Black Friday Details

For those of you who truly know me...Black Friday is my jam. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to shop and what better than a WHOLE day full of crazy sales and fun times!

Every year since Dave and I have been together, I have set out on my Black Friday shopping adventure with his Mom and sister. Sometimes we even get a few of his aunts and cousins to join us. We start the day off at Starbucks, because everyone needs a caffeine fix before hours of shopping, and then our first stop is always Kohl's. As a true Wisconsin girl...you can't go wrong with Kohl's. So many good options for everyone on your list! Then we venture off to the holy land of Target and Michaels (can't forget Michaels since crafting is one of my favorite hobbies). After that we head to wherever our hearts desire.

As our trips continue to grow and develop over the years here are a few tips that I have gathered and learned on how to survive a Black Friday adventure.

1. Dress in layers.

In my opinion, the ABSOLUTE worst thing when shopping is not being comfortable. By wearing layers you stay comfortable no matter what store you are in and what the temperature is. ALSO, this allows for you to do a quick try on when the changing room line is too long or you just want to quickly try on that cute sweater that catches your eye last minute.

2. Be comfortable.

Again like my statement above, the worst things is not being comfortable. Also don't feel like you need to look perfect. People aren't going to judge you by your appearance on Black Friday. Yoga pants, oversize sweater, vest and tennis shoes is my go to outfit. Easy enough to take off for a quick try on but also comfy enough to last for 10 hours of shopping.

3. Pack water and snacks.

I usually pack a little bag with a few water bottles and quick go to snacks for myself and family members to grab while we are driving between stores. Now we usually get breakfast or lunch some place, but a little snack and water helps keeps us hydrated and our energy up while we are in the stores.

4. Anything heavy and big that isn't a door buster....BUY IT ONLINE ON THANKSGIVING OR BEFORE YOU GO OUT.

Lines are long and true Black Friday shopping requires a lot of walking. My absolute favorite deal on Black Friday is the annual Bath and Body Works buy 3, get 3 sale. I stock up on candles friends. Like I mean I buy 6 candles minimum. Carrying these are heavy and annoying. So before we go out, I check the sale online and just place my order there.

I hope these tips help you conquer your Black Friday shopping this year :)
